My first two days back at Northview was exciting. The students worked on basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Everyone had a good time and seemed to be in the holiday spirit. Happy Thanksgiving to all students and staff. We've got some fun and exciting activities scheduled before our Winter holiday break, including archery, one of the student favorites. The Missouri Department of Conservation has been very helpful the last couple of years supplying us with equipment for the archery unit. Everyone at Northview appreciates it greatly.

Out For A While

To All Students and Staff: As you may or may not know, I am recovering from ankle surgery and will not be there for the start of the new school year. I look forward to returning and wish everyone well as our school year resumes.

Thank you Pattonville!

Our final Special Olympics event of the year was completed today as the rain held off and all the events were completed.  The Pattonville staff and students did a wonderful job of supplying entertainment, good food, and their friendship.  It is greatly appreciated by all of us at Northview.  Everyone at Northview and Pattonville is invited to comment here about their experiences today.  Don't forget to mention your buddy's name (or the student's if you are from Pattonville) and reflect on this day we shared together.   The end of the school year is near, so we wish everyone a fun and safe summer vacation.

Fun Day At Hazelwood West

We had a beautiful day at Hazelwood West for our track and field meet.  They supplied us with tasty food from the bar-b-que pit and our students met new friends at during the competition.  They have some fast runners, don't they?  Many of our students received recognition over the loudspeaker for excellent performances in the event.  Thanks to all our staff for your assistance in making this another great event for Northview School.  Also, thanks to everyone at Hazelwood West for being a top notch host.

Two Special Olympics Events Left!

As the school year nears the end, we only have a couple more Special Olympics events on our calender, both in track and field.  First, on Thursday May 7, at Hazelwood West, then on Wednesday May 13 at Pattonville.  Both schools do an excellent job hosting these events and all our students always enjoy their experience.  And those of you who attended last year may remember that both schools grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for us.  What a treat that was!  Tino and I would like to know what Special Olympics event was the favorite of each student.  If you participated in our intramural competitions such as flag football, pickleball, etc, pick out your favorite and explain why.  You can come up and tell us but we'd also like you to respond the next time you read this blog.
